Job Description

ELECTRICIAN
Biewer Sawmill in Newton, MS is searching for an Electrician. The main objective of this role is to lead and safely perform electrical tasks on secondary systems that are 480 volts or less. Monday - Friday (5:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.). Some weekend and holiday work may be required.
Accountabilities :
Perform electrical duties, PLC troubleshooting and repairs of equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components. Ensure safe work practices, follow safety procedures and complete required safety forms, checklists and permits.
Qualifications :
Associate's degree, technical certification or equivalent experience in manufacturing Skills including knowledge of electrical, basic pneumatics and hydraulics PLC experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
Must be able toe work in an indoor/outdoor environment. Climb and descend a flight of stairs several times per day. Walk, stand or kneel for up to 12 hours. Bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
