Within the Maintenance Department at ELMHS, Located in Jackson, LA The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana. ELMHS is looking for a motivated individual to join the Maintenance department as an Electrician with knowledge in the installation and maintenance of wiring systems, switches, receptacles, and lighting. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in the electrical trade. In this role, you will: Install, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance of wiring systems, switches, receptacles and lighting. Assist in the rewiring of staff residences, run's additional circuits when necessary. Pull electrical wire, runs conduit, installs ceiling fans, range vent hoods, restroom exhaust fans. Install generators and transformers and transfer switches. Perform preventive maintenance rounds on all buildings checking for loose wires, checking receptacles for tension and condition to ensure proper function. Check electrical cord outlet devices. Maintain records on lock out tag out. Maintain a valid, unencumbered driver's license.Position-Specific Details:

This position is eligible for a $2.00 Weekday On-Call pay and a $2.10 Weekend/Holiday On-Call pay.How To Apply:
