Job Description
Job Title:
Electrician Responsibilities Install electrical systems in apartment complexes, townhome communities, and other multi‑unit residential developments. Perform new construction electrical work, including rough‑in, trim‑out, and final installation. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute installations accurately. Run, bend, and install conduit, including conduit bending and routing in accordance with code and project requirements. Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring and cable for power, lighting, and related systems. Install, wire, and troubleshoot lighting systems and lighting upgrades in commercial and multi‑family settings. Use hand tools and standard electrical tools to complete installations, repairs, and adjustments safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and perform repairs in commercial construction environments. Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes to ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards. Collaborate with project teams to support construction schedules and coordinate work with other trades. Work independently or as part of a crew to complete assigned tasks on time and to a high standard of quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and use tools and equipment responsibly. Travel reliably to various job sites using personal transportation and maintain consistent attendance. Essential Skills Approximately 5 years of experience as an electrician is ideal, though all experience levels will be considered. Hands‑on experience in new construction electrical work, preferably in multi‑family residential projects. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical codes. Proficiency with standard electrical tools, hand tools, and test equipment. Demonstrated skills in electrical troubleshooting and repair in commercial construction environments. Experience with conduit installation, including running, bending, and installing conduit to code. Proficiency in pulling, routing, and terminating electrical wiring and cable. Ability to install and service lighting systems, including lighting upgrades. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a crew. Reliable transportation to reach job sites and a track record of consistent attendance. A Delaware Journeyman Electrician license is a significant plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with commercial construction projects, including both large and small commercial jobs. Background in light industrial and multi‑family residential electrical projects. Familiarity with design‑build and engineered electrical projects. Exposure to electrical maintenance work in commercial or residential settings. Experience with special systems such as lighting controls, fire alarm, security systems, and alternative energy systems. Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment while meeting construction timelines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality electrical construction. Why Work Here? You will regularly use standard electrical tools, hand tools, and equipment for conduit installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and lighting work. Typical workdays begin early in the morning, and you will be expected to travel reliably to various project locations using your own transportation. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, depending on the project phase, and requires adherence to all site safety practices and appropriate work attire suitable for construction environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Garnet Valley, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
