 Monday - Friday; 7am-3:30pm How You'll Make an Impact As an Electrician, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, supporting the Production Department by installing, maintaining, and repairing critical electrical systems that keep our plant running safely and efficiently. You'll collaborate with a skilled, safety-focused team to deliver reliable solutions that support Lubrizol's manufacturing excellence. In this role, you will: Install, maintain, and repair motors, motor controls, transformers, generators, lighting, high-voltage switchgear, and other electrical systems. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical devices, including calibration, testing, adjustment, and documentation of results. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with malfunctioning electrical devices using appropriate electrical testing equipment. Conduct loop checks to verify component functionality and update drawings to reflect modifications. Review plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine job requirements and installation or repair sequences. Repair and maintain high-voltage electrical systems in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Complete all required paperwork and computer records, including timesheets, maintenance records, drawings, and system entries. Adhere to all Lubrizol safety procedures, including Job Safety Analyses (JSA), work permits, and Management of Change (MOC) processes. Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Trade school certification or completion of an equivalent apprenticeship program. Minimum of one year of experience as an electrician in an industrial electrical environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Proficiency in conduit layout, bending, and installation. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control circuits. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system issues. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment with strong organizational skills. Solid computer skills, including the ability to complete electronic documentation. Good math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills. Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or knowledge of chemical hazards. Experience troubleshooting and repairing single-phase and three-phase electrical equipment. Knowledge of hazardous location classifications and intrinsically safe work practices. Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing variable frequency drives (VFDs) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Experience troubleshooting industrial firing equipment, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and generator systems. Journeyman electrician certification. Certification in refrigeration and air conditioning troubleshooting and repair, or willingness to obtain certification within two years. Experience using Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with SAP, including
SAP S/4HANA.
