Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Electrician
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on installing, roughing in, and wiring new commercial buildings based on plans and prints provided by the general contractor.
You will install and terminate conduit and wiring to switches, circuit breaker panels, relays, and various control devices. You will help power and control lighting, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial facilities while following safety standards and using a variety of power tools and test equipment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Rough in conduit and wiring for new commercial buildings according to plans and prints provided by the general contractor.
+ Install, route, and secure conduit and pipe to support commercial electrical systems. + Pull, run, and terminate wires to switches, circuit breaker panels, relays, outlets, and other devices. + Wire and connect instruments and controls for power, lighting, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration units in commercial buildings. + Use power tools, saws, drills, utility knives, pipe threaders, conduit benders, and other tools to complete installations. + Use ohmmeters and other electrical testing tools to verify continuity, proper connections, and safe operation of circuits. + Work with 227V and 480V systems safely and in accordance with applicable codes and standards. + Perform outlet wiring and ensure proper installation of receptacles and related components. + Collaborate closely with a small crew of 2-4 people on new construction projects and maintain clear, consistent communication. + Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required PPE, and actively participate in maintaining a safe job site. + Climb up and down ladders throughout the day to install and service electrical systems at various heights. + Coordinate with other trades and project team members to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 2-5+ years of commercial electrical experience, specifically bending conduit or pipe and running wire.
+ Demonstrated ability to rough in and install conduit and wiring in new commercial construction environments. + Proficiency working with 227V and 480V electrical systems. + Experience with pulling wire, wiring circuits, and performing outlet wiring. + Skilled in bending conduit and pipe using conduit benders and related tools. + Experience using saws, drills, utility knives, and other common construction and electrical tools. + Ability to use ohmmeters and electrical testing tools to troubleshoot and verify circuits. + Strong safety orientation and OSHA certification. + Ability to work effectively on construction sites, including climbing ladders repeatedly throughout the day. + Clear, reliable communication skills and a strong focus on teamwork and coordination.

  • Work Environment
  • You will work for a blue-collar electrical contractor on the new construction side, typically as part of a small crew of 2-4 people.
The environment is understanding, team-focused, and safety-driven, with a strong emphasis on open communication to prevent injuries and maintain a safe job site. Hard hats and safety vests are provided, and you will regularly use power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, conduit benders, saws, drills, and other construction equipment. The role requires frequent climbing up and down ladders throughout the day and working in active construction settings. Dress will align with standard construction-site attire, complemented by the provided safety gear.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
