$35-$45 an hour Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems supporting HVAC, mechanical, and building automation equipment on commercial and industrial job sites Perform conduit installation (EMT, rigid, PVC), wire pulls, terminations, and panel work for new construction, retrofits, and upgrades Wire and connect HVAC units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and control panels Install disconnects, starters, control wiring, and power feeds for mechanical equipment Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and control diagrams Troubleshoot electrical issues related to mechanical system startups, shutdowns, and service calls Coordinate closely with HVAC technicians, foremen, and project managers to support installs and service work Support new construction, retrofits, upgrades, and preventive maintenance Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and OSHA safety standards Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Qualifications & Experience Prior experience as a commercial or industrial electrician Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and power distribution Experience working around HVAC/mechanical equipment preferred Ability to use hand and power tools, meters, and testing equipment Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a crew
