Technology, Software, IT, Electronics Description Description SAIC is currently hiring for an Electronic Technician II position at the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Port Hueneme and Point Mugu, CA.Job Duties:
Performing activities involving the assembly, integration and maintenance of an variety of Ground-based Expeditionary Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems Specific areas of work include Single-Channel radios, Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS), Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) systems, Increment One Block One (I1B1), and the Blue Force Tracker (BFT) Family of Systems (FoS) Conduct on-site integration and operational checks of C4I equipment to ensure optimal serviceability Establish and maintain a network of professional contacts, self-regulate their activities and ensure compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelines Engage in continuous communication with key contacts within FST area of responsibly and scope of work to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly Efficiently carry out assigned tasks and responsibilities, while developing and adhering to a personal schedule that aligns with the Team's objectives and deadlines Participate in scheduled and unscheduled service calls, providing necessary support and expertise Develop and deliver briefings to various stakeholders, clearly conveying important information and updates Regularly participate in briefings to stay informed about developments and provide input as necessary Accurately track and report all expenses in a timely manner for all travel events Operate independently while adhering to the guidelines and best practices set forth by the SAIC Team Supervisor Compile and present weekly status reports detailing the progress and status of the FST's designated respective unitsQualifications Required Education and Experience:
Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications Must have a high school diploma Under the C4I umbrella, candidates must work with and be familiar with the following hardware and software: Vehicle Based Ground CommunicationSINCGARS
(Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System) SATCOM Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Integrated Waveform (IW) Dedicated SATCOM High Frequency (HF) Blue Force Tracker Joint Battle Command - Platform (JBC-P) Mounted Family of Computing Systems (MFoCS) Mounted Mission Command (MMC) Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (JCREW) Increment One Block One (I1B1) Intercom Communication Systems (ICMs) or Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS) Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) systemsRequired Security Clearance:
