Job Description

MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication and Industrial and Defense applications. Headquartered in Lowell, Massachusetts, MACOM has design centers and sales offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia. MACOM is certified to the ISO9001 international quality standard and
ISO14001
environmental management standard. MACOM has more than 75 years of application expertise with multiple design centers, Si, GaAs and InP fabrication, manufacturing, assembly and test, and operational facilities throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio. Electronics Technician Candidate must have general knowledge of and be able to use standard electronics lab test equipment such as DMMs, power supplies, UPS, data-loggers, hot/cold plates. Must have solid technical understanding of standard components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and basic logic devices. Must possess strong wiring and hand soldering skills, as well as the ability to interpret a functional electronics circuit (schematic and PCB) and explain its operation. Self-starting candidates will have strong oral/written communication and organization skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced commercial electronics lab. Applicants with experience in component reliability test and general electronics troubleshooting are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior experience with electronics device failure and root cause analysis is a plus.

Job Qualifications:
Previous Relevant Work Experience:
Requires an associate's degree in an electrical or electronics field or equivalent 3+ years work experience. Must be able to perform test equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance per manufacturer's documentation. Strong computer skills are required with emphasis on MS Office.
Other Special Skills:
Familiarity with Agile and SAP a plus. Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position. The Hourly Range for this position is $18.00- $28.00 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
