Job Description

Overview Join our innovative team as an Electronics Technician specializing in Measurement While Drilling (MWD) systems. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating complex electronic and hydraulic systems used in the Geothermal and High Temperature Gas drilling industry. Your expertise will ensure the precision and reliability of measurement tools that are critical for safe and efficient drilling operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial technology, supporting field service activities and advancing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair MWD electronic systems, sensors, and associated hydraulic components in a workshop setting. Calibrate precision measuring instruments, sensors, and vision inspection systems to ensure optimal performance. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Perform service activities including system upgrades, component replacements, and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, calibration results, and system configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability and implement new technologies such as vision inspection systems or sensor networks. Experience Proven experience as an industrial electrician or electronics technician within manufacturing or heavy industry environments. Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance practices. Familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems, schematics reading, and calibration procedures. Experience working with programmable downhole drilling technology Background working with sensors, calibration techniques, and precision measuring instruments. Experience in field service roles within the oil & gas sector is highly valued. Ability to interpret technical drawings for troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills with a focus on safety, quality assurance, and effective communication in high-pressure environments. Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
