Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate (JX or JQ) Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred Strong classroom management and instructional skills Knowledge of child development and elementary curriculumJob Responsibilities:
Plan and implement standards-based elementary music instruction for students in grades K-5 (or assigned grade levels). Teach fundamental music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics, movement, listening, and music appreciation. Provide instruction in singing, classroom instruments, movement, and performance techniques. Organize and direct student performances, concerts, assemblies, and special programs. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Integrate technology and multimedia resources into music instruction when appropriate. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of achievement and participation.
