Job Description

The Putnam County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Eligibility Referral Supervisor I to join our team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED. Associate degree preferred. At least 5 years' experience as an Eligibility Referral Specialist I. Strong written and verbal communication skills, be skillful in problem solving, maintain accurate records and be able to develop and present new ideas to unique issues as they arise. You must be highly adaptable to change, organized, and have ability to meet multiple deadlines.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Supervises Income Maintenance Unit/Public Assistance unit that include cash assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, and certain Prevention Retention and Contingency Programs. Ensure that federal, state and county rules, regulations and policies are correctly interpreted and implemented by assigned staff. Responsible for caseload management, assigns work, monitors work to ensure accuracy, completion and compliance with rules, regulations and procedures that govern programs. Train, evaluate and counsel workers Interpret and implement agency policy as it relates to unit operations Manage and facilitate timely workflow. Responsible for the establishment of procedures for administering all aspects of the income maintenance program. Reviews agency performance on ongoing basis. Responsible for on-going training of the unit. Approves and deny requests for leave, completes performance evaluations, and meets with subordinates and customers regarding any grievances. Communicate with outside agencies to enhance the delivery of services to agency clients. Attends conferences, meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Gives public presentation on agency programs as assigned. Conducts county conferences and participates in state hearings.
Pay:
$24.75 - $31.59 per hour
