Embedded Program Manager

Embedded Program Manager Freelance Portland area / hybrid-on-site Client confidential We are seeking an Embedded Program Manager to serve as a trusted on-site partner supporting consultant operations, recruiter collaboration, and day-to-day client relationship needs. This is a highly relational, fast-moving role best suited for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, communicates well, and can balance organization with flexibility. Key Responsibilities Act as the day-to-day embedded liaison supporting on-site team needs Support consultant onboarding, check-ins, and ongoing engagement Partner closely with recruiters on openings and candidate calibration Help interpret hiring needs and communicate requests across stakeholders Maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders Surface opportunities, insights, and account-related feedback Help consultants navigate ambiguity, questions, or day-to-day issues Use sound judgment to determine when to escalate versus resolve independently Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship-first approach Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfort working on-site in a hybrid environment with consistent in-person presence Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and effective in ambiguous situations Highly organized without relying on overly rigid processes Experience partnering with recruiting, staffing, or talent teams Good judgment and the ability to work independently when appropriate Professional, approachable, and proactive working style Preferred Backgrounds Staffing or account management Recruiting operations Corporate recruiting with stakeholder-facing experience Embedded consultant management Creative operations or brand operations Agency account or program management Vendor management or talent operations Experience supporting large consumer-facing organizations

Role Snapshot Hybrid:

1-3 days on-site role in the Portland area Freelance engagement Approximate duration of 4 months with overlap during transition Potential for longer-term opportunity based on business needs $60/hour
