Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Ensures that patients presenting in the Emergency Department in need of immediate attention are stabilized and properly cared for according to current acceptable medical practice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Make sure all medical records are properly kept and maintained. Carry out immediate evaluation and management of emergency patients that are brought in for treatment. Work simultaneously with staff from the emergency department and compliant facility. Respond to all forms of cardiac/cardiopulmonary arrest with immediate effect. Provide instructions for discharge and complete necessary paper work for patients. Appropriately make use of other available personnel whether professional or not so as to be able to immediately stabilize the patient in a situation where there are multiple emergency cases. Review all medical (laboratory and x-ray) reports concerning patients. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and it may be amended from time to time as management may deem necessary.
UNIT MANAGEMENT
Maintains patient confidentiality. Follows all Hospital District policies and Procedures. Attends mandatory Hospital District sponsored in-service and education programs, annually. Adheres to the Forks Community Hospital Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Washington State Physician and Surgeons License. Knowledge and Abilities to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. Ability to read literature, charts, medical records, prescriptions, scientific and technical journals and business correspondence. Required certifications as per privileges.

Physical Expectations:
