Job Description

A busy Gastroenterology Ambulatory Surgical Center in Thomasville, NC is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join their team! This position plays an important role in supporting quality patient care and ensuring the Endoscopy Unit operates efficiently and safely each day. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist nursing and procedural staff during Endoscopy procedures Prepare and clean procedure rooms between cases following Infection Control policies Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopy scopes and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and facility procedures Ensure equipment and procedure rooms are properly stocked and ready prior to patient arrival Document cleaning, disinfecting, and quality control processes accurately Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness throughout the department Support patient transport, clerical duties, phone coverage, and other departmental needs as assigned Participate in quality improvement activities, staff meetings, and safety drills Maintain patient confidentiality and professional communication with patients, families, and staff
Qualifications:
Current BLS certification required Current
CNA I, CNA
II, MA, RMA, or CMA certification/registration required Strong attention to detail and infection control practices Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Must have reliable transportation, valid NC Driver's License, and current vehicle insurance Must be willing and able to travel to various office locations as needed This is a great opportunity to join a supportive specialty practice focused on patient-centered care and teamwork in an outpatient surgical setting!
