A Senior Project Manager (PM) will be directly responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing of leading-edge medical devices and instrumentation throughout a broad-spectrum of technologies. The Senior PM will serve as the primary liaison between the customer and Primo Medical Group during the development and early production phases of a project. As such, the Senior PM will be responsible for ensuring all customer objectives are achieved within schedule and budgetary constraints, issues are communicated properly and addressed promptly and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage all aspects of design and development projects Assess and control all resource requirements Develop and manage the relationship of customers, vendors, and internal resources to drive project deliverables Develop solutions to technical problems of varying scope and impact; apply basic engineering principles Generate product development schedules, design inputs, design outputs, and other design history file elements Oversee, execute and deliver new projects on established project timelines and budgets Prepare detailed quotations and written proposals for work of varied scope, drawing upon individual and Primo Medical Group experience to ensure the validity and integrity of estimates Manage direct customer interactions to resolve issues including but not limited to: cost overruns, scope changes, delivery delays or other project performance concerns;
  • Execute project scope within the guidelines of the Primo Medical Group Quality Management System (QMS) Interact with the Sales and Marketing departments to support these efforts Ability to engage in challenging and potentially emotionally charged interactions with internal and external interactions with diplomacy and tact Assist in the training and development of new and junior Engineering Department members Project a positive and professional image of the company and of management to employees at all levels Contribute to establishing the Company as a leader in new product innovation and design Establish and maintain a culture of safety, creativity and continuous improvement Experience, Education and Qualifications A highly motivated, aggressive, and energetic individual with solid mechanical skills and the desire and ability to lead people and manage project tasks in a competitive environment Goal-oriented, service-driven leader who can assume responsibility for multiple business functions 7+ years of product development experience in the medical device field is preferred, or transferrable skills from a similar industry (i.
e. defense) 3+ years of project management experience Excellent interpersonal skills to allow effective participation in project teams is required Excellent oral and written communication skills is required Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
Knowledge and Understanding of:
