$36.00-$48.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience Qualifications Minimum 3 years of electrical design experience. Experience preparing electrical construction documents using AutoCAD. Experience designing electrical power distribution and lighting systems. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA codes, IES standards, and applicable energy codes. Working knowledge of COMcheck. Experience with Bluebeam. Experience with lighting design software and photometric calculations. Experience with aviation electrical systems, municipal infrastructure, transportation, or water/wastewater projects is highly desirable. CR Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer or Engineer with experience in power distribution and lighting design to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging infrastructure projects, including airports and aviation facilities, municipal utilities, transportation, water and wastewater facilities, recreational facilities, and commercial projects. If you enjoy solving technical problems, working closely with experienced engineers, and seeing your designs built, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Prepare electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD. Design low-voltage power distribution systems. Design interior and exterior lighting systems. Perform photometric lighting calculations. Design grounding systems. Prepare electrical specifications. Participate in field investigations and site assessments. Coordinate with clients, utilities, architects, and other engineering disciplines. Prepare construction cost estimates. Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs). Assist with construction administration. Participate in the design of electrical systems for aviation facilities, including airport lighting systems, navigational aids, airfield electrical infrastructure, and associated power distribution systems.
