About the Role As a Manufacturing Engineer with our world-class aerospace manufacturing organization, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes that produce critical aerospace components and assemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of aerospace technology, where precision, quality, and innovation are paramount. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality assurance, production, and supply chain to ensure our manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards of excellence that our industry demands. Key Responsibilities Process Development & Optimization Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for aerospace components, with particular emphasis on welding operations and complex assembly procedures Create and maintain detailed work instructions, process specifications, and manufacturing documentation that comply with AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards Conduct time studies and capacity analysis to optimize production throughput while maintaining quality standards Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Develop and validate new manufacturing techniques to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance production efficiency Welding Engineering & Technical Expertise Serve as the technical expert for all welding processes including TIG, MIG, resistance welding, and specialized aerospace welding techniques Develop welding procedures and specifications (WPS/PQR) in accordance with AWS D17.1 and other aerospace welding standards Qualify welding processes and certify welding operators to ensure compliance with aerospace requirements Troubleshoot welding defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Collaborate with materials engineering to select appropriate filler materials and welding parameters for various aerospace alloys Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance schedules are followed Develop and improve Bills-Of-Material (BOM's)
