On-Site Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer / Quality Auditor to support a large-scale quality audit initiative within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This position will focus heavily on product, process, and quality system auditing, with responsibility for evaluating compliance, reviewing manufacturing and quality documentation, identifying potential gaps, and preparing detailed audit findings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on aerospace quality experience with a strong understanding of AS9100, First Article Inspection (FAI), product traceability, configuration management, and aerospace metals or forgings . Candidates should be capable of contributing immediately with minimal onboarding. Key Responsibilities Conduct product audits to evaluate quality and compliance with aerospace requirements. Perform process and quality system audits as assigned. Review manufacturing, quality, and inspection records for accuracy and compliance. Identify, document, and communicate quality issues, discrepancies, audit findings, and potential compliance gaps. Support comprehensive aerospace product audit programs and quality compliance initiatives. Review and support First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and activities. Verify product traceability and associated manufacturing and quality records. Support configuration management activities and verify applicable configuration requirements. Prepare clear, technically detailed audit reports and written findings. Communicate audit results effectively to quality, engineering, manufacturing, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and compliance concerns. Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a demanding aerospace manufacturing environment. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required. 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering or closely related aerospace quality experience. Previous experience working within an aerospace manufacturing environment . Experience conducting product, process, and/or quality system audits . Working knowledge of AS9100 aerospace quality requirements. Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) ; AS9102 knowledge is highly desirable. Experience with aerospace forgings, metals manufacturing, or related metal manufacturing processes . Experience with product traceability and manufacturing/quality documentation. Familiarity with configuration management principles and requirements. Strong technical writing and reporting skills. Ability to clearly document and communicate audit findings. Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate technical records for compliance. Ability to work effectively with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and able to make an immediate contribution with minimal onboarding. Preferred Background Candidates with direct experience in aerospace forgings, forged components, metallurgy, heat treatment, machining, or other aerospace metals manufacturing operations will be particularly well suited for this assignment. Experience supporting comprehensive aerospace audit or compliance programs is strongly preferred.
