You will lead development and sustainment efforts reled to the Stregic Weapon System (SWS) and missile, with a focus on missile structures, flight sciences analyses and missile controls. You may be required to coordine shipping, transfer or redirecting of government owned property to other facilities or contracts to meet program needs and requirements. You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in sisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems. You will monitor and approve efforts dealing with acceptability, utilizion and sustainment of hardware, support equipment, and software including design and process changes. This includes the assessment and evaluion of aging effects. You will assure th configurion control of weapons systems is in compliance with the approved Configurion Management processes. You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide informion to the prime contractor and Navy field activities. You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representives, contractors, Department of Energy (DOE), Nional Nuclear Security Administrion (NNSA), laborories, and consultants.
