Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the AS9145 standard to support aerospace manufacturing programs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, implementing APQP methodologies, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, manufacturing readiness, and compliance with aerospace quality standards. Key Responsibilities Design and develop manufacturing processes, production layouts, and workflows for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, material handling, and fabrication. Develop manufacturing process plans, production sequences, and work instructions to improve efficiency, quality, and manufacturability. Optimize plant layouts, equipment utilization, and manufacturing methods to maximize productivity. Adapt manufacturing processes and equipment to meet production requirements and changing business needs. Develop and implement APQP plans throughout the product development and manufacturing lifecycle. Incorporate inspection, verification, validation, and testing requirements into manufacturing and production plans. Perform process capability studies and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to improve manufacturing performance. Conduct root cause analysis, identify manufacturing issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Support Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks. Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability. Evaluate the manufacturing impact of engineering changes and update quality planning activities accordingly. Monitor manufacturing performance, investigate process deficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with AS9145, quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline. Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of AS9145 and its implementation. Experience developing manufacturing processes, production plans, and process documentation. Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability studies, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and risk management. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
