Overview Position Summary:

The Design - Drafting Engineer is responsible for creating, modifying and maintaining detailed engineering drawings and CAD models used in the design and manufacture of aerospace components, tooling and assemblies. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and customers to ensure drawings accurately reflect design requirements and can be successfully manufactured.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, layouts and supporting documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Apply GD&T principles to drawings and designs.
• Make engineering changes and maintain drawing revisions and configurations.
• Work closely with Manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Support Engineering with tooling, fixtures and process-development designs.
• Incorporate engineering change requests and customer revisions.
• Maintain accurate drawing files and engineering documentation.
• Assist with resolving manufacturing issues related to drawings or design.
• Support prototype, NPI and production programs.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and applicable aerospace/customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree, technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2-5+ years of CAD design/drafting experience in Aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX or comparable CAD software .
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality personnel.

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year Application Question(s): Should be proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX or comparable CAD software.
