In this pivotal role, you will oversee compliance with industry standards, coordinate testing and validation activities, and ensure that products meet all regulatory requirements. Your expertise will drive the successful certification of complex systems, contributing to the safety, reliability, and performance of cutting-edge aerospace solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of aerospace engineering, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and certified products that meet rigorous standards. Responsibilities Lead certification efforts by developing comprehensive plans aligned with industry standards such as
AS9100, FAA
regulations, and DoD requirements. Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of certification milestones and deliverables. Coordinate engineering testing, including structural analysis, system design validation, and environmental testing, utilizing tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Simulink. Conduct requirements analysis and manage requirements traceability using specialized tools to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Perform root cause analysis on certification issues or non-conformances, implementing corrective actions effectively. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—including mechanical, systems, and aerospace engineers—to develop system design documentation using CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, and Pro/ENGINEER. Review engineering data analysis involving CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and structural assessments to validate design integrity. Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to aerospace standards by supporting manufacturing teams during development testing and assembly phases. Maintain detailed records of certification activities, test reports, compliance documentation, and audit readiness. Liaise with regulatory agencies to facilitate certification processes and address compliance inquiries efficiently. Skills Extensive knowledge of aerospace engineering principles including airframe design, fluid dynamics, structural analysis, and systems engineering. Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD; simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink; programming languages including Python, C/C++, LabVIEW; and requirements management tools. Strong understanding of FAA regulations (Federal Aviation Regulations), AS9100 standards, ASME codes & standards, and military DoD specifications. Experience with engineering testing methods including structural testing, environmental testing, signal processing, sensors integration, and aerospace design validation. Skilled in project management practices with the ability to develop schedules using project scheduling tools; capable of leading teams effectively. Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to aerospace components including assembly techniques and quality control standards such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Ability to perform root cause analysis using data collection techniques; experience in engineering data analysis for system troubleshooting. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines; adept at requirements analysis and technical documentation development. Knowledge of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), FEA (Finite Element Analysis), structural analysis methods; experience with aerospace materials is a plus.
