An Aerospace Engineer designs aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft using knowledge of engineering and physics, and tests prototypes to see if they work according to design. May specialize in aeronautical design and work with airplanes and helicopters, or specialize in astronautical design and work with vehicles used in outer space. May specialize in a particular area of design, such as aerodynamic flow or navigation.

Job Description
Job Duties:
- Mentor and develop Junior Engineers who are evaluating manufacturing nonconformances to determine acceptability of parts.
- Mentor and develop Junior Engineers who perform analysis to document acceptability of parts to include stress calculations, tolerance stack ups, and leveraging of previous analysis.
- Mentor and develop Junior Engineers who review repairs to determine post repair acceptability to meet drawing requirements and mission requirements.
- Communicate with cross-function engineering teams (internally and externally) to meet directives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant field required.
- Experience with manufacturing processes a plus including but not limited thermal spray coatings, castings, FPI, shot peen, milling & turning.
- Familiarity with hand calculations for stress.
- Familiarity with FEA software, ANSYS, is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior Material Review Board (MRB) certification from major aerospace company producing gas turbine engines.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T requirements to include but not limited to true position, run outs, profiles, and flatness.
- Ability to work well with a team to meet goals.
- Ability to mentor and develop Junior Engineers.
- Effective communication to fellow team members and customers as necessary.
