The Stamping Forming Engineer's responsibilities include performing virtual stamping tryout on draw and secondary dies for new vehicle model programs, and support current volume production model requirements. The Forming Engineer is responsible to achieving quality targets in formability, aesthetics, and dimensional; deliver die developments, simulation results, NC models per program timing, supporting hard tool, and home line tryout using virtual tryout results. He/she will review the simulations submitted and provide feedback. They will document the status of the parts as they progress through the vehicle launch process; clay review, feasibility, through program launch, and maintain project documents in the SPE Operations database. Support the stamping plant and all related activities.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in EngineeringKnowledge and understanding of Finite Element Analysis, Manufacturing, GD&T, and 6-sigma processes.

Sheet metal materials characteristics, understanding, and computarional Mechanics.

Hands-on experience in any one of the stamping software's: Autoform, LS-Dyna, & PamstampHands-on experience in any commercial CAD package to create surfaces.

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet program specific deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experiences in either NX or CATIA to create die surfaces.
