$41.76/hr. on W2 Job Summary We are seeking a Mass Properties Engineer II to support the design, development, analysis, testing, and validation of advanced aerospace systems and components. The ideal candidate will play a key role in mass properties engineering activities, including weight management, center of gravity analysis, aircraft inventory, and weight and balance documentation. This position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed mass properties calculations and analyses for aerospace structures, systems, and components. Develop, maintain, and update mass properties models, databases, and engineering documentation. Conduct and support mass properties testing, validation, and reporting activities. Perform aircraft inventory and weighing operations. Generate aircraft weight and balance reports and supporting documentation. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and analysis teams to integrate mass properties requirements into product development. Support engineering efforts from conceptual design through testing, certification, and production. Analyze engineering data and provide recommendations to optimize system performance and compliance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, or related industries. Higher-level engineering degree may be considered in lieu of some experience requirements. Basic understanding of engineering principles, design practices, and product development processes. Experience working within cross-functional and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, including: Parametric Design Model-Based Definition (MBD) Flight Mechanics Fundamentals Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, defense, or military-related programs. Familiarity with aircraft certification, testing, and validation processes. Preferred Skills Advanced Mass Properties Software Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Tools Aerospace Engineering Principles Parametric Design Methodologies Model-Based Definition (MBD) Flight Mechanics Aerospace & Defense Industry Knowledge Technical Data Analysis Product Lifecycle Engineering Systems Integration Education Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
