Do you enjoy mentoring others, leading projects, and solving complex infrastructure challenges while continuing to grow your technical expertise? CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer Lead
- Aviation to join our Aviation Team in Knoxville, TN; Atlanta, GA; or Duluth, GA .
What You'll Do:
: Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects supporting airports, including airfields, terminals, roadways, parking facilities, utilities, and site development Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget Mentor, coach, and support the professional development of junior engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment Assist with assigning work, balancing team workloads, and supporting day-to-day project execution in partnership with senior leadership Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical quality while ensuring successful project delivery Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams Support business development by participating in proposals, client meetings, and project pursuits Perform periodic field observations during construction, participate in progress meetings, and support construction administration activities as neededWhat You Bring:
: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required Minimum of 4 years of progressive civil engineering experience in civil site design, land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or other horizontal infrastructure projects Professional Engineer (PE) license required Demonstrated experience leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, or coordinating technical teams Previous formal management experience is preferred but not required Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships Strong experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or comparable civil engineering software Working knowledge of QA/QC processes, engineering standards, and project delivery Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills Interest in growing into a larger leadership role while continuing to contribute technically Participation in professional engineering organizations is a plusWhy You'll Love It Here:
