Mid to Senior Level Manufacturing Engineer

Aerospace Fabrication & Production

Auburn, WA

$58.65 - $73.55/Hour

We are hiring a Mid-Level or Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Auburn, WA, to support aerospace fabrication, production engineering, and manufacturing process improvement. This role supports manufacturing planning, tooling methodologies, work instruction improvements, producibility analysis, machining operations, production readiness, and Lean manufacturing while working directly with mechanics and cross-functional engineering teams on the factory floor.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement production processes, tooling methodologies, and manufacturing plans supporting fabrication and production operations.

Lead systemic improvements to manufacturing work instructions and translate new process requirements into standardized production practices.

Train and support multiple teams in implementing manufacturing process improvements.

Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop and integrate technical solutions across multiple engineering and manufacturing disciplines.

Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining program architecture for production builds.

Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capabilities meet engineering and production requirements.

Analyze design and build concepts to evaluate manufacturability and develop producible design/build definitions.

Provide producibility information for project planning and document manufacturing and producibility best practices.

Resolve complex technical issues affecting manufacturing performance, cost, quality, or schedule.

Coordinate and implement engineering principles, advanced technologies, and manufacturing concepts.

Validate technical solutions and ensure production readiness for complex manufacturing requirements.

Implement Lean manufacturing principles and technologies to improve process efficiency, quality, and production performance.

Qualifications:

US Citizenship Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, including Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis.
  • Experience with machining operations.
