Job Description
Sierra Seed Company LLLP is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Greenhouse Grafting Engineer in the vegetable seedling nursery. The Greenhouse Grafting Engineer is to be responsible for the planning, organization, direction and coordination of practices to best meet the greenhouse goals while also managing the in-house and outside sales activities. Required skills will involve using expert knowledge of the Grafting Process Methods utilized in tomato, pepper, and watermelon seedlings as well as the most current Pest and Disease Control protocols for these vegetable products. Deep knowledge and understanding of the PRIVA System is a requirement. This position is headquartered in Nogales, AZ and requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Agriculture Engineering, or Botany. Five or more years of experience as a Grafting Engineer and/or Production Manager and/ or an Agronomist in the agriculture industry. Cross Border travel will be required occasionally.
