LMI's standard service offering includes traditional consulting services to include: real estate transaction due diligence, soil and groundwater subsurface assessments, and soil and groundwater remediation. In addition, LMI provides management consulting services that help EH&S organizations operating more efficiently. Management consulting services include business planning and reserve forecasting and program management for large and complex organization problems. Core markets include real estate transactions, underground storage tank management, hazardous waste and brownfield site management and landfills. Customer diversity includes commercial property owners, banks, local and state governments and large energy and petrochemical companies. LMI has built a culture that is customer focused with high technical competence expectations, quality as a core value and project management as a base requirement. Job Summary / Purpose The Environmental Manager (EM) will be responsible for leading a project portfolio and certain business development assignments. The EM will report to the principal owner of the business. Ideally, the position is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The purpose of this position is to continue to build the LMI brand with customers and regulators and help expand the growth of the business. LMI owners are seeking a candidate that has aspirational goals to own a business and would like to transition 100% of the business ownership in a 5 year time horizon. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the scope, schedule and budget for project portfolio valued at $1MM/year.
  • Provide technical skills required to perform and manage field services, permit preparation, and report preparation.
  • Identify, secure and manage experts for non-core services to clients.
  • Manage assigned staff or contractors.
  • Support business development and strategy development as assigned.
  • Provide industry leadership through conference and key association participation and efforts that further the LMI leadership brand. Qualifications
  • Experience with proven success in a environmental management and business development.
  • Geology, Engineering or Technical Degree is preferred. PE or PG certification is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in the environmental industry.
  • Strong B2B experience leading teams to develop and deliver on detailed solutions and contractual responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to execute a business strategy ahead of goals and within budget.
  • Project Management Skill.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
