Job Description:
Overview:
The Utility Relocation Manager I supports utility coordination and relocation activities for construction projects with a Class I Railroad. Responsibilities include researching utility agreements, identifying and resolving utility conflicts, coordinating with third-party utility owners, consultants, contractors, and internal departments, and supporting the planning and execution of utility relocations. The position will also support Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, coordinate field activities, perform project due diligence, and assist with utility relocation project management. Travel of up to 25% may be required.
Job Duties:
Coordinate utility relocation activities for construction and infrastructure projects. Research utility agreements, records, and existing conditions. Identify utility conflicts and assist with developing relocation solutions. Coordinate with third-party utility owners, consultants, contractors, and internal departments. Support and coordinate Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations and field activities. Assist with project due diligence, scheduling, documentation, and tracking of utility-related activities. Monitor consultant and contractor activities related to utility investigations and relocations. Support the planning, coordination, and execution of utility relocation projects. Communicate project status, issues, and requirements to internal and external stakeholders. Assist with resolving utility-related issues and maintaining project schedules. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience in utility relocation, utility coordination, construction, engineering, or project management preferred. Strong organizational, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
