40.0 Overview The Asset Manager IV will be responsible to work with a set of company customers to review energy usage and strategies in order to implement the best practices. This will include directly managing the O&M of the CEP for the campus, working with, and mentoring the owner's staff on the O&M and energy usage of multiple facilities as part of a greater campus effort. Responsibilities Work with company customers to review energy usage and strategies to implement best practices. Manage the O&M of the Central Energy Plant (CEP) for the campus, including mentoring owner's staff on O&M and energy usage across multiple facilities. Review energy usage daily, providing guidance, best practices, and operational modifications. Mentor the owner on energy strategies to optimize performance. Oversee the operation and maintenance of the CEP, including management of subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers. Manage Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP. Coordinate with operators to ensure efficient plant operations. Conduct ongoing training for Plant Operators. Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual. Assist EPC team with engineering, procurement, and construction coordination related to OMC operations. Coordinate troubleshooting and diagnostics on-site and with remote support teams. Manage one or multiple teams comprising Asset Managers or similar roles. Requirements 6+ years of experience managing multiple sites or complex facilities, or managing central plant operations. Management experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant. Deep knowledge of building codes and standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle various projects in a fast-paced environment. Industry familiarity and awareness of competitors. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing scope as needed.
Optional:
4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET accredited). PE preferred or FE working towards PE certification.
Travel requirements:
10-25% of time spending on-site visits. Physical activities including climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and working in confined spaces. Physical demands include medium work, moving objects up to 50 pounds.
