Shift Position Summary:
This position requires performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance, safety testing and minor to major equipment repairs for the Health System's medical equipment management program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) Verifies that patient related and non-patient equipment is functionally operational and safe to use, after PM's, repairs or initial incoming inspection Maintains spare parts inventories and makes a new inventory on parts for new equipment Documents work performed in the computer management system and assists with writing equipment maintenance procedures as required for the equipment management program Participates in training programs to expand knowledge relevant to clinical equipment maintenance, repair or initial incoming inspections Conducts visits to various departments to check operation and safety of electronic and mechanical equipment Demonstrates the ability to make equipment decisions while performing in fast-paced, high pressure environments Maintains all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly manner Minimum Qualifications 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining a variety of medical equipment. CBET certified Adept at using applicable test equipment properly Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Biomedical Technology (BMET) or Electronic Engineering, or applicable military training Bachelor's level degree preferred 8 years of experience repairing and maintaining a variety of medical equipment, including many high risk devices. Capable of managing projects in an effective manner by meeting all constraints. Capable of performing training seminars for other technicians
