The Clinical Engineering Operations Specialist supports the full lifecycle of medical, surgical, and research equipment while driving continuous improvement across maintenance workflows, documentation, and system performance. The Clinical Engineering Operations Specialist contributes directly to the reliability and availability of clinical technologies that support patient care, research excellence, and regulatory compliance across the institution. The ideal candidate for the Clinical Engineering Operations Specialist brings preferred experience in biomedical engineering environments, hands-on interaction with medical devices, and at least two years of experience using Microsoft analytical tools and CMMS platforms. The role is best suited for someone with strong regulatory, quality, and data analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset across operational, systems, and business domains. The minimum salary is $68,500, the midpoint salary is $85,500, and the maximum salary is $102,500, based on a 40-hour work week. The work location is onsite in the Medical Center. Why Us? Responsibilities Oversee medical device management and maintenance coordination to ensure compliance and operational efficiency Lead initiatives to improve lifecycle tracking and performance analytics of clinical equipment Oversee maintenance, technical support, and documentation for medical, surgical, and research equipment Coordinate and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance workflows Develop and refine maintenance support strategies aligned with departmental performance goals and regulatory standards Review and validate work orders for operational accuracy, service quality, and timely execution Support regulatory, quality, and data analysis activities related to clinical equipment management Collaborate across operational, systems, and business teams to support metrics, quality, and performance outcomes Maintain accurate documentation within maintenance and inventory systems Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
Required:
Associate's Degree Business, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical, Clinical Engineering or related fieldPreferred:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical, Clinical Engineering or related fieldWORK EXPERIENCE
Required:
5 years Five years experience in data analysis within medical device maintenance management or Clinical/Biomedical Engineering operations support. orRequired:
3 years Experience required with preferred degree. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.Preferred:
2 years Experience with Microsoft analytical tools such as Excel , Power BI, Azure.Preferred:
2 years Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) administration and/or inventory management.Preferred:
Biomed Engineering experience, hands on experience with medical devices in a hospital or manufacturer. Strong regulatory, quality and data analysis experience needed. Experience with 3 modules; operations, systems, and business side involving metrics and quality. Must have excellent communication skills and have the right attitude to collaborate with teams across the institution.Work Location:
Onsite in the Medical Center.
