The division focuses on reliable installation and integration of systems such as communications, security, and building automation. Role Description:
The Computer Aided Design Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Huntsville, AL. This position is responsible for creating and updating detailed CAD drawings for low-voltage electrical systems, including layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams based on project specifications and engineering input. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting field notes and design requirements, preparing construction-ready drawings, revising plans to reflect changes in scope, and maintaining organized drawing files and documentation. The Drafter collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant with codes and standards, and aligned with project timelines. The role also involves reviewing drawings for quality and consistency and assisting with as-built documentation at project completion. Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows, with the ability to produce precise technical drawings.
AUTOCAD, BLUEBEAM, & FIRECAD
  • Experience creating and interpreting Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings for low- voltage systems.
FIRE, CCTV, CARD ACCESS, & IDS
  • Ability to develop and modify Architectural Drawings and general Drawing layouts that integrate electrical low-voltage systems.

  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and drawing sets.
  • Basic understanding of low-voltage systems, codes, and industry standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC, TIA/EIA) preferred.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and field personnel using PROCORE.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, document management) and digital file organization. Microsoft Office
  • Relevant technical training or certification in CAD, drafting, or a related field; an associate degree in drafting, engineering technology, or similar discipline is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL and adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines.
Pay:
$26.87 - $32.36 per hour
