McClelland Consulting Engineers is looking for a full-time CAD Technician to join our Water/Wastewater team in Fort Smith/Fayetteville, AR. This job operates in a professional engineering office. The CAD Technicians primary job is to use computer software, such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD, to convert hand drawings, CAD drawings, sketches, and designs into technical drawings. The CAD Technician will also assist in developing and maintaining CAD standards throughout the company.

ResponsibilitiesOptimize best practices for CAD and BIM designCreate and prepare detailed plans and/or scale drawings for civil engineering and structural engineering projectsProduce drawings in accordance with company CAD standards, specific project requirements and client preferencesRevise plans per redlines or review comments and communicate with engineer and/or project manager as neededOpen to learning and embracing new technologies to complete tasks related to job or assignmentEffectively communicate with all team members QualificationsAssociate degree in Drafting or Survey5 or more years of AutoCAD and/or BIM design experience is preferredProficient in AutoCAD and BIMExperience with Civil 3D preferredAbility to create and modify assets, materials, and annotation for BIM designStrong communication skillsExperience in MS Word, Excel, and OutlookCandidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policy.
