Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your attention to detail and ability to translate concepts into accurate and precise drawings will be crucial in this role. If you have experience in mechanical design and are proficient in CAD software, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and objectives
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, and Sketchup to draft designs
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings, adhering to industry standards and regulations
- Make necessary revisions or modifications to drawings as requested by project stakeholders
- Collaborate with other drafters and team members to ensure consistency and quality in design documentation
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, and Sketchup
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and techniques
- Familiarity with 2D animation software is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of NavisWorks is preferred but not required
