Electrical CAD Designer Dave Williams Plumbing & Electrical Inc. Palm Desert, CA | Full-Time | $45-$50/hour Dave Williams Plumbing & Electrical Inc. is looking for an experienced Electrical CAD Designer to join our Palm Desert team. We are a growing plumbing and electrical contractor serving commercial, residential, and multifamily projects throughout Southern California. We need someone who understands electrical construction—not just CAD —and can produce accurate, practical drawings that our estimating, project management, and field teams can rely on. Compensation & Benefits $45.00-$50.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package including: Health insurance Paid PTO 401(k) retirement plan Profit sharing Full-time, year-round employment Opportunity for long-term growth within our electrical department What You'll Do Prepare and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD Develop electrical layouts for power, lighting, equipment, panels, feeders, and related systems Prepare electrical plans, details, and single-line diagrams Incorporate architect, engineer, utility, and field revisions Assist with design-build and design-assist electrical projects Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing plans Review plans for conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues Prepare accurate as-built and record drawings Work closely with estimators, project managers, foremen, and field personnel Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and project documentation Identify potential problems before they become expensive problems in the field What We're Looking For Experience with AutoCAD and electrical construction drawings Strong understanding of electrical plans, symbols, circuitry, panels, feeders, and one-line diagrams Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction documents Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills Understanding of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices preferred Previous experience with an electrical contractor, electrical engineer, or MEP firm strongly preferred Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, BIM, or electrical estimating software is a plus Electrical Field Experience?
