Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled CAD Manager to lead our computer-aided design (CAD) operations and support our digital design and production team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and management of CAD standards, workflows, and software tools to ensure precision, efficiency, and compliance across all projects. Your expertise will drive the creation of detailed construction documentation, schematic designs, and 3D models that bring concepts to life. Duties Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of CAD standards, protocols, and best practices across all project teams. Manage and coordinate the use of advanced CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3ds Max to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models. Provide technical guidance on CAD software applications and emerging technologies in 3D modeling and graphic design. Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure CAD deliverables align with project goals while maintaining strict adherence to building codes and safety standards. Conduct quality control reviews of CAD drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards. Support project teams in complex engineering CAD design tasks involving structural detailing, building code analysis, and BIM integration. Qualifications Proven experience managing CAD operations within architecture, engineering or construction environments with a strong portfolio of projects utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Extensive knowledge of construction detail documentation and building code compliance processes. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software including SolidWorks or 3ds Max is highly desirable. Strong understanding of BIM tools for building information modeling to facilitate integrated project delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead CAD teams effectively while fostering collaboration across disciplines. Excellent skills in schematic design development, drafting techniques, engineering CAD design principles and graphic design fundamentals. Ability to analyze complex building systems through detailed CAD drawings and provide innovative solutions aligned with industry standards.
