The primary role includes hands on drafting support (2-D & 3-D), coordinating drafting task priorities, generating submittal and production detail drawings. Key areas of accountability include managing time allotments for assigned tasks, accurate drawing output, drafting task management and drafting standards implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop 2D/3D CAD drawings and models based on engineering specifications. Implement and utilize Everidge drafting standards and quality plan procedures relating to drafting technique and engineering support. Knowledge of industry mechanical drafting techniques and technologies. Capable of working independently with designers and engineers on various projects, producing detailed and assembly drawings for fabrication and customer approval submittal drawings. Prioritize and manage drafting tasks to support the budgeted hours and scheduled due dates for projects. Coordinate drafting workload with engineering / drafting supervisor as needed to support the prevailing and fluctuating workload. Attend design and project reviews and related meetings as requested. Good communication skills in working with customer service representatives, dealer representatives and inter-company engineering personnel. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks/goals as needed. Self-check and correct all work prior to submitting to the customer service and dealer representatives. Verify nominal fits of all parts as they are detailed from an overall layout. Seek out clarity and advice from CSR's and designers as needed to ensure design questions are answered at project inception. Plot and manage CAD files, original plots and manage electronic backups. Create accurate detail and assembly drawings from architects' layouts. Create material cut sheets for production utilizing AutoCad2024 & up and/or Inventor 2024 & up. Translate electronic documents between various formats (DWG, DXF, STP, PDF, ZIP, etc). Incorporate redlines and revisions from customer approval drawings. Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year College, University or Technical school preferred. Associates degree or equivalent in Computer Aided Drafting and/or design. 1-3 years' experience in mechanical drafting/design. Strong organization and self-motivation skills are required. Positive minded and eager to support a professional work environment through honesty, integrity, efficiency, thoroughness, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multi-task and change duties frequently daily. Willing to put in extra hours and effort as needed. Competent with computer software AutoCAD 2022, AutoCAD Inventor, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Autodesk Vault. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is beneficial but not required.
