Job Description
CAD / Mechanical Designer / Drafter IV Job Summary Seeking an experienced CAD/Mechanical Designer/Drafter to create, modify, and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation using CAD software. This role involves preparing detailed 2D and 3D models, interpreting technical requirements, and supporting engineering and design projects. Responsibilities Create and update engineering drawings, sketches, and technical documents using CAD software. Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models based on project requirements. Review and interpret customer specifications, technical data sheets, and supplier documentation. Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and design standards. Prepare and maintain design documentation to support engineering projects. Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance. Apply drafting standards, engineering concepts, and industry best practices throughout the design process. Requirements 8+ years of CAD drafting and mechanical design experience. Strong proficiency with CAD software and technical drawing creation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Knowledge of drafting techniques, engineering terminology, and design processes. Experience creating and maintaining project documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with advanced 2D and 3D modeling tools. Background supporting engineering, manufacturing, utility, construction, or infrastructure projects. Experience working with client-specific design applications and standards.
