We are dedicated to delivering high-quality metalwork solutions for a variety of construction projects, ensuring precision and durability in every build. Overview We are seeking a talented SolidWorks Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CAD software to develop detailed mechanical designs, create accurate schematics, and support system and assembly layouts for our fabrication projects. Your mechanical knowledge and technical skills will drive innovative solutions that meet project specifications and industry standards. Duties Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks for structural and mechanical components Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate concepts into precise CAD designs Create schematics, system layouts, and assembly drawings adhering to ASME codes & standards Conduct design reviews, modifications, and revisions to optimize manufacturability and functionality Support drafting tasks using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD tools as needed Assist in technical writing for design documentation, specifications, and reports Perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) simulations to evaluate structural integrity and performance Skills Proficiency in SolidWorks with demonstrated experience in mechanical design and assembly modeling Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise manufacturing tolerances Familiarity with Bluebeam, NavisWorks, Revit, MicroStation, Autodesk Inventor, Pro/ENGINEER, and Creo software tools Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to structural steel fabrication Mechanical engineering background with expertise in system design, schematics, and drafting practices Experience with construction-related CAD applications such as AutoCAD and Revit Knowledge of FEA techniques for structural analysis and optimization Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and reports Join us to be part of a team that values innovation, precision, and craftsmanship.
