Design and improve mechanical components and systems to support manufacturing and field operations. Create and modify CAD models, develop design concepts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products are functional, manufacturable, and meet requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and update components and assemblies using CAD (Creo or SolidWorks) Create layouts, sketches, and design proposals Perform basic calculations and design studies Work with engineering, manufacturing, and planning teams to ensure designs meet production needs Consider manufacturability, material availability, and project specifications
Must-Have Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication Knowledge of machine safety and ergonomic standards Experience with mechanism design using CAD (Creo or SolidWorks) Hands-on sheet metal fabrication (brake, shear, etc.) Experience building or supporting complex equipment/instruments
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Medical device or regulated industry experience Machining experience (manual mills, lathes) Validation or process development experience
