Full-Time / Contract-to-Hire About the Opportunity We are actively seeking a CAD Drafter to join a growing low-voltage and structured cabling team in the Danbury, CT area. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Teams to develop accurate telecommunications and structured cabling drawings for commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience who is looking to grow within the low-voltage, telecommunications, and structured cabling industry. Responsibilities Create and maintain AutoCAD drawings for structured cabling systems. Produce MDF, IDF, and telecommunications room layouts. Develop cable pathway, riser, and floor plan drawings. Update redlines and generate as-built documentation. Coordinate with project managers and field technicians to ensure drawing accuracy. Review construction documents and incorporate design changes. Maintain drawing standards and project documentation. Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Required Qualifications 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience. Experience creating construction or telecommunications drawings. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with structured cabling, low-voltage, telecommunications, fiber, or network infrastructure projects. Knowledge of MDF/IDF layouts and telecommunications design standards. Experience with Revit or BIM software. Understanding of commercial construction environments. Experience preparing as-built documentation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working with both office and field teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bethel, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
