CAD Designer

We are seeking a talented and detail-focused CAD Designer to join our Indoor Construction Division at Jaypro Sports. In this role, you will be responsible for developing custom designs for ceiling-suspended sports equipment, including basketball backstops, batting cages, divider curtains, overhead volleyball systems, and more. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering precise, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Review Architectural Drawings:

Analyze gymnasium and sports facility floor plans to ensure accurate equipment integration.

Custom Design Creation:

Use CAD software to create detailed, custom designs for various sports equipment based on customer specifications and architectural layouts. Collaboration with

Engineering Team:

Work closely with the engineering department to refine designs, ensuring they meet manufacturing and structural requirements while remaining cost-effective.

Manufacturing Preparation:

Once the design is finalized and customer-approved, prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and generate bills of materials for production.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that designs meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and safety, in line with industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in CAD design, preferably in the construction industry. Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.). Ability to interpret and work from architectural drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. Experience in preparing manufacturing drawings and bills of materials is a plus. A degree or technical certification in CAD design, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
