As a Drafter, you will be integral to the design and development process, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and expertise in CAD software such as SolidWorks. Reporting to the engineering team, you will create detailed schematics and technical drawings that adhere to industry standards, including GD&T principles. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a background from trade school to support your technical proficiency in mechanical design.
Responsibilities:
Create fully defined & constrained 3D models from existing 2D drawings/views. Create accurate and neatly presented 2D drawings with minimal errors/typos. Calculate dimensions and standard allowances in accordance with established procedures and specifications. The ability to accurately apply GD&T and multi-part tolerance stack-ups is a plus. Follow work instructions/procedures, interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or trade school education. Trade certificate or associate's degree in a related field preferred. Experience in the use of 3D CAD software.
SOLIDWORKS
experience preferred. Experience with PDM preferred. Certified
SOLIDWORKS
Professional is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to proofread documents, mechanical drawings, and Bills of Material. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with
ASME Y14.5
including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Work Remotely No - this position is on-site
