CAD Designer / Architectural Drafter (Hurricane & Outdoor Structures

Overview We are seeking a CAD Designer to support our engineering and design department; specifically for hurricane shutters, screens and outdoor living structures (pergolas-awnings-trellis systems). Duties Create renderings Create shop drawings and permit -ready plans Translate field measurements into accurate CAD drawings Assist with custom outdoor structure designs Coordinate with sales, project managers and installers Ordering and follow up on any special engineering that may be needed Experience Proven experience working as a CAD Designer or Architectural Drafter within the outdoor or structural design industry, preferably with a focus on hurricane-resistant or outdoor architectural projects. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and other relevant CAD software tools. Familiarity with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max for modeling and visualization purposes. Knowledge of construction processes, schematic development, mechanical design principles, and system integration. Ability to interpret architectural schematics and technical drawings accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of Florida Building Code and product approvals (preferred). Compensation will be based on experience. Health-Vision-Dental available after 60 days. Paid vacation after 1 year.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm After 90 days of employment the company offers various paid days off thru out the year, days are selected by Management.

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
