Cad Drafter

Drafter Job Description We are a manufacturer serving the Power Generation industry, specializing in custom diesel fuel storage tanks, trailers, stairs, and platforms for commercial and industrial applications. Our products, crafted from carbon steel and aluminum, are custom-designed for each project and distributed through engine/generator distributors. We are looking for a Drafter to create precise 2D AutoCAD drawings that will be used directly in production. Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor is an added advantage. Responsibilities Create and revise 2D AutoCAD shop drawings for custom fuel tanks and related components. Produce fabrication-ready drawings with dimensions, weld symbols, and material callouts. Develop drawings for carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components. Support custom, project-specific designs. Incorporate redlines and production feedback into updated drawings. Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams. Essential Skills 3+ years of drafting experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD. Experience creating drawings for shop floor production. Understanding of metal fabrication and welding practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor. Experience in fuel tanks, trailers, or industrial drafting. Experience in producing drawings for steel, aluminum, and sheet metal parts. Familiarity with the power generation industry is a plus.
