You will utilize Autodesk Inventor to transform existing designs into precise, production-ready shop drawing packages and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for our custom water tanker manufacturing lines. Your work directly drives floor productivity, ensuring assembly and fabrication teams have the visual clarity needed for seamless buildouts. Key Responsibilities Production Drawings:
Create, modify, and optimize detailed 2D/3D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
BOM Management:
Generate accurate, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) with standardized part numbers for every assembly stage.
Shop Optimization:
Tailor drawing structures specifically for sequential manufacturing stages (fabrication, assembly, and final build-out).
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with floor operators, shop leads, and management to continuously improve drawing clarity and part details.
Data Integration:
Ensure all modeling outputs cleanly map to standard manufacturing data formats for downstream production use, including outsource vendors.
Performance Expectations Proactive Delivery:
Release complete, accurate drawing packages well ahead of fabrication schedules to allow for optimal shop planning.
Continuous Improvement:
Boost overall shop floor productivity, minimize rework, and reduce assembly cycle times through high-clarity visuals.
Qualifications & Skills Technical Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (parametric modeling, sheet metal, and drawing environments).
Industry Context:
Strong understanding of heavy equipment manufacturing, fabrication sequencing, or weldments (water tankers/large vehicles a plus).
Detail-Oriented:
Exceptional accuracy in managing BOMs, part numbers, and configuration changes.
Communication:
Ability to easily translate technical engineering concepts to shop floor operators and project managers alike.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
