Produce drawings, using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) and other drafting devices. Create detailed construction design plans and layouts using design software. Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects. Selects appropriate materials, fixtures, and finishes for the project design. Present design concepts and proposals to clients for approval. Ensure designs comply with building codes and safety regulations. Coordinate with contractors, builders, and suppliers to ensure project completion.
