In this role, you will work closely with our team of engineers and designers to develop high-quality CAD design and construction drawings, as well as permit packages, for utility clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the utility design industry while applying their drafting skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk products, minimum 1 year of drafting experience Experience creating, modifying, and managing AutoCAD blocks and block attributes High School Diploma or GED required, Associates degree preferred Electric utility experience preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently Valid driver's license and successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and
E-Verify Key Responsibilities:
Develop and revise utility designs and construction drawings using AutoCAD Collaborate with engineers and designers to support project deliverables and permits Interpret technical data and incorporate it into drafting designs Gather project data, coordinate client outreach, and perform drafting/design for utility permits Maintain drawing accuracy, quality, and consistency with company and client standards Support both office and occasional field-related project needs
